This is a small but interesting museum with basic exhibits about life on the prairie, some antiques, some mannequins, and similar items. It also has dinosaur and mastodon bones which were dug up locally.
What sets it apart is something truly unique: a replica of the first patented helicopter. The helicopter has a special feature that whirlybird nerds will find especially interesting. They might even spend an hour there just pressing the button over and over. Go there to find out what I'm talking about.
Goodland also hosts another replica: a 32 foot high copy of Vincent van Gogh's Sunflower painting, mounted on a giant easel.
